Educating Young Minds about the Christian Faith

When it comes to educating kids about the importance of being a Christian, it can be difficult to reach children on a level similar to their level of understanding. The Bible is the kind of book into which infinite interpretation and importance can be drawn from, but children can’t grasp those difficult concepts. Thus, instead of making an attempt to introduce kids to concepts well over their head, start their education with a few simple and fun introductions to The Bible.
One great way to educate kids about The Bible is to play bible board games together. Most bible board games are centered around fun, but while having fun, kids will also learn about biblical events. Because kids start to understand these biblical events and context, their appreciation for the Christian faith will grow. It’s important that kids understand and learn to appreciate their faith while children, as this will translate into a future interest and passion for the pursuit of faith and God’s teachings.
Inklings

The Inklings Board Game is an exciting and unique question and answer game that requires strategy to win! Just flip the spinner and watch the fun begin! If you spin a 1 or 4 you may try to answer the question or sell the question to an opponent. Spin a 2 or 5 and draw a card that gives you special benefits! Spin a 3 and go head-to-head with one of your opponents in answering the question. Spin a 6 and get in a bidding war with one of your opponents to see who is asked the question first! The game contains more than 280 questions. Some sample questions are “Who am I” and What am I”? Each question has six clues. The more clues you ask for, the easier the clues get. But remember, the more clues you ask for, the less points you can win. The first player or team to 55 points wins the game! Don’t know the Bible that well? No problem! The six clues get progressively easier until you get to the sixth question which is multiple choice! Inklings can be played with individuals, or in groups! Inklings is great to play with friends, family, and church groups.
Bibliopoly
Time to change the way we play games. I grew up taking your money in Monopoly or Destroying your opponents troops in Risk. Since created in 1991 one of the most popular Christian board games is Bibleopoly. Bibleopoly promotes the act of cooperation that children should learn early in life. It’s a great game for the whole family. This game takes about a hour to play, 2 to 6 players ages 8 and up.
This game is patterned after monopoly with collecting all of one color group and enjoying the fun of a property trading game while learning about the remarkable cities of the Bible! Start “In the Beginning” BUT the great twist is you can only win by cooperation and helping out your opponents with good deeds or service. The object of the game is to be the first player in a bible city to build your church.
